ILCF has developed unique teaching methodologies, learning rhythms, progressions and activities best suited to helping students attain their targeted level of French, according to the 6 competence levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).

French courses at ILCF Paris

  

Spring Semester: From 02/08/2021 to 05/28/2021


From 15 hours to 21 hours/week

On campus and online, Beginners A1 to Advance level C1
French language courses
(oral and written French, grammar and vocabulary)

15hours/week
  • On campus for beginners (A1.1 level):
    • Monday to Friday 10 am - 1 pm
  • On campus and online from A1.2 to C1 levels:
    • On campus: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10 am - 1 pm
    • Online: Tuesday, Thursday 10 am - 1 pm

*Phonetics

3 hours/week: A1 and A2 levels

On campus: in a language lab ; Monday 2 pm - 5 pm

*French Culture and Civilization courses

3 hours/week: 2 pm - 5 pm, A1 to C1 level

Learn about French society, the city of Paris, major Parisian monuments history, Literature, Cinema, impressionist painting... in class and visits of historical buildings and Museums, Louvre, Orsay...


*These courses can only be taken in addition to the French language courses.

Free of charge for the Semester session

  • Private tutoring: three 20 minutes sessions of private tutoring with an ILCF teacher
     
  • Ciné-club: 4 feature films are shown during the semester; after the screening a discussion, monitored by a teacher who is a movie specialist, is organized with the participants
    • On Thursday from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
       
  • Café-philo: once a month, a philosophical discussion on various topics, such as democracy, the main challenges of the contemporary world, education, the labor market...
     
  • Rencontres Conversations Amicales (RCALF):
    • French language conversation workshops organized everyday on campus by volunteers
    • Cultural visits: 3 guided visits in Paris


Saturday courses : from 02/09/2021 to 05/29/2021


3 hours/week: 10 am to 1 pm, both online and campus

French language courses, B1 and B2 levels (oral and written French, grammar and vocabulary)


Evening courses: from 02/09/2021 to 05/27/2021


Business French: Social and economic issues and business communication

4 hours/week: Monday and Wednesday 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm, both on campus and online

B1 and B2 levels



You can take the DFP exam at the end of the course (Diploma of Professional French) delivered by the Paris Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Summer Sessions: June - July - August

June: from 06/02/2021 to 06/29/2021

15 hours/week: Monday to Friday 9 am - 12 am, on campus

Preparatory program prior to your entry into university, B2/C1 level
learn how to be efficient to save time, how to take notes, present a paper, write a synthesis report or a reading note.

The courses taught on campus will be held in compliance with the strict social distancing and hygiene requirements imposed by the French government to all universities.
The online courses will be taught under the best conditions with Zoom and Moodle plateform.
