Special visit to the heart of the Agence France Presse (AFP) for ILCF

Each semester, students at the Institut de Langue et de Culture Françaises (ILCF) have the opportunity to complement their French-language studies by taking courses focusing on French culture and civilization.

These courses also include off-campus activities in line with their content. 

Students enrolled in the course "The History of the Press and Media since 1945" taught by Sophie Joessel benefitted from an exceptional private visit to the headquarters of the Agence France Presse (AFP) in Paris.

Organized for this exceptional visit :

  • General overview of AFP with Sophie Wronecki from the Communication Office and Vincent Drouin from the Multimedia Documentation Office, part of the Politics and General Information services.
  • Presentation of the Computer Graphics Department and meeting with the department head.
  • Meeting with the AFP Associate Editor and a detailed presentation of the AFP’s operations.
